This is a hard restaurant to review as to the number of stars. On the positive side, the food was good. We started with the calamari appetizer and it was OK, not great not terrible. We also had the beef carpaccio which was very good. My wife and I split the calzone Vesuvius which was quite good and plenty of food for two. One of the other people in our group had the rigatoni with chicken and eggplant which he liked a lot.
Now for the negative, the owner is absolutely one of the rudest people I have encountered in the restaurant business. One of the people in our group is a very sweet, reserved, sophisticated lady in her late 70's. She had a couple of questions and when she asked the owner, who was waiting on us, he went ballistic and started yelling at her. She told him she thought he was rude and he threatened to kick us out of the restaurant. There was a mixup, due to him trying to tell us what we wanted to order in stead of listening to us. That resulted in another incident with him yelling at this sweet lady.
I don't care how good the food is, there is no chance I will ever go back there. There are too many good restaurants to give my business to a person like this.
