Had a groupon coupon for a headlight restoration. My headlights were not bad, just a bit worn on the top where most of the evil sun rays were concentrated. Found the groupon add and figured, for $20, what do I have to lose. Got the coupon, printed it and called for an appointment. Arrived about 15 minutes early but was taken right in. The technician chatted with me while he did the cleaning. Cleaning amounted to applying a 3M product that acted as a mild abrasive to do away with most of the worn and discolored plastic of the headlight. The process took about 20 minutes. The results were good and seemed to be worth the $20 spent. If it was more, I would not consider it a good deal. Not sure how long it will last, we shall see. Checked out the cost of the 3M cleaner, about $54 for a large container. So, Maaco is making a few bucks off the service and that is OK. I would be curious to see how the procedure worked on headlights that were really bad.
