| - I've been in search of a good barber for MONTHSSSSS. I've tried 3 different barbers in the Charlotte area (wont mention names) prior to coming here. Each time I have gone I've had my hair butchered...resulting in me wearing a hat or not leaving the house for daysss. To many people, that might sound like an exaggeration, but to those who are particular about their hair you know exactly what I'm referring to.
I'm that guy that goes to the barber shop once a week...yes, that guy. Is it excessive? maybe. Could I shave myself? Yeah. But I'm all about convenience and having my hair and shoe game on point & at all times. That's just me...I've been doing that for the past 10 years in my life and that suddenly had to stop when I moved to Charlotte. It has seriously been the worst part about living in Charlotte....Not having a good barber, not even joking. The struggle has been so serious that I have been driving up to Winston Salem to cut my hair since one of the barbers from the place I would go to in NY recently moved there...Yes, 3 hours of driving for a haircut.
My problem was finally solved yesterday. After doing some research and speaking with a few people I was pointed in the direction of All Texture as well as Marcus, the barber. I was a bit skeptical at first since the other barbers I have tried in Charlotte should be working in the meat department at Harris Teeter, but I figured I needed to keep trying out places so that I no longer would need to drive to Winston.
Long story long, I got a cut from Marcus. He gave me the best haircut to date since I have left NYC. He cut my hair just how I asked him to. Light tape up, trim the top with scissors and he finished it off by giving me a hard part which looked natural. Unlike those ridiculous 1/4 inch wide parts you sometimes see on people lol. Also, I've been growing out my beard for a little while and he shaped that up for me as well which was greatly appreciated.
I can't tell you enough how good of a job he did. There are barbers out there that can cut with clippers but are awful with scissors. Marcus did an excellent job with both. Marcus, if you're reading this, I cant thank you enough for the great cut! You can count on having me there once a week from here on out..!!
If anyone in Charlotte is looking for a new barber, in need of a great haircut, new to the area, etc etc, make sure you CALL MARCUS...!!! The guy is legit..!!
