  • I planned my son's 6th birthday party at LEGOLAND in Vaughan Mills. I have never dealt with so many restrictions when planning a party: maximum 25 people including adults and babies, no transfers, no cancellations, paying full price for adults and babies, etc. When I originally booked the party, I paid for the minimum 10 people and was told to update the numbers prior to the party. Four days before the party I called to add 3 children and 3 adults. The following day, I called back to say that one of the additional children had cancelled. I was told at that time that the sale was final. I asked if I could take the credit of $39.50 and apply it to the "adult package" (adults are $18 just to walk into the place and $25 if they want a slice of pizza). They told me once the money is paid, there's no way to transfer or apply credit. When management was contacted, we were told that while they still couldn't transfer the funds, they could offer me the option of "bringing a different kid for free." I explained that I didn't have a "different kid" and asked HOW IT WAS FREE IF I'VE ALREADY PAID FOR IT?!!!! She had no answer for me. The party itself was definitely not worth $. Their "Lego experts" were two young girls who weren't particularly interested in the kids or the party. They put on a video with guided instructions on how to put together a little monkey. There is very little to do at this LEGOLAND and it was almost impossible to watch all of the kids while they were running around a very crowded place. They don't even make announcements to call kids back to the party room. Not sure why they don't offer a less expensive option for parents who need to be there to watch their children. I contacted LEGOLAND customer service last week (prior to the party) and haven't heard a word from them. I will definitely not be back, and wouldn't recommend it to anyone.
