  • The only reason I called out A1 was to determine the reason why my garage door would not go down and stay down and it would make a clicking noise as if someone had put their foot under the garage door. I had done my research online and knew it could possibly be the sensors but I wanted to call out the experts just to be certain it wasn't something else. My garage is probably about as old as my house is (10/15 years) so I was prepared to hear about a list of things that needed to be updated and fixed as far as maintenance goes. Turns out my garage needed new springs & bearings (none were broken, just a little worn out and old but they insisted I should fix them to avoid a crash door from happening), rollers, and sensors. The two guys who came out were very knowledgeable and initially suggested new rollers ($125). After those were on, the problem still persisted. They suggested new bearings & springs, but at a price of almost $300 just for those, I passed. They never once mentioned the sensors being the problem. I then mentioned that I had done my research online about the sensors and asked if they could check them. Sure enough, the sensors were the problem, they replaced them ($99) and the garage was up and running again. I smiled to myself, just happy that my gut feelings were correct! Yay for me! I just wish they would've done the sensors first so I would not be out an extra $125 for new rollers too. So I gave them 4 stars because they were nice and knowledgeable but took away a star because even though they suggested solutions to other parts to update, I had to lead them to a solution to the initial problem and reason why I had called them out to look at my garage in the first place.
