  • My son is a loyal Fitestone guy, so when his car stopped the other and we were right in front if one he was happy. They came back with a $1400 estimate. After discussing this with my Gurlfriend we asked them if instead of repairing the heater block they could just bypass. They said no, not his this kind of, otherwise they would offered it. Strangely, at this point the dude started saying "We don't work on commission, so you know you can trust us." After further discussions we had the car towed. The new place took one look and said sure they would go around the heater block, for $500. Much better pricewise. Firestone also charged my son $70 to look at it, without making it clear they were going charge. I expected it, but my son was surprised. Seeing as they knew he new at being a car owner I think they could explained it better. Leaving two stars because they were fast, clean, and upfront about everything except the cheaper alternative.
