I just left this location and I'm disappointed in the lack of customer service. I have been a "platinum" member for years and this is the first time I have had a bad experience to the point causing this review and probably discontinuing my business.
My wife and I walked in and were greated by the representative, Travis, who was very polite and asked what he could do to help and explain current promotions. He stated current promotion for this weekend was spend $100 dollars plus you would get $30 dollars off. I explained I had received another coupon for being a platinum member which was $25 off $75. Travis went on to say if my totals were over $100 and with the $30 coupon applied still remained above $75 I could use my $25 coupon in the same transaction. I said stated awesome and started browsing.
The entire time we are in the store there is no interactions with sales staff. We are in the mind set to meet these amount goals to take advantage of current promotions and coupon. We get to the register and this is where things go wrong. Now granted, Travis, salesmen is helping another customer check out. Our checkout salesman begins to say both coupons cannot be used in the same transaction. Which at this time I look over to Travis and he says under his breath, "what" while looking at the salesman. I then say, it was not explained to me that both coupons could not be used in the same transaction. Travis leaves at this point which I thought was a poor customer service move since he was the one that stated this from the first 15 seconds in the building! Our salesman then gets on his walkie talkie and asks Roderick the manager if coupons can be combined and that it was explained to me by his employee I could use both. Roderick states no coupons can be combined. After a few minutes of again explaining I wouldn't be doing what I am if it was explained differently. I then say if they are not going to honor what their employee stated I will leave with nothing. The salesmen says, "ok".
I begin to walk out and turn around and ask for the managers name (I didn't know it prior) and he says Roderick. I turn around to walk out and another lady associate says would you like to talk to him. I said yes and bring Travis out here too. Roderick comes up and both my wife and I explain exactly what was told to us upon entering the store. Roderick says I just talked to Travis and he explained the story and he thinks you may have misunderstood some where along the lines. I state no the miscommunication is between your employees. Roderick does nothing to handle the situation but allow a platinum member walk out.
I've shopped here countless times and spent thousands of dollars and did actually like the staff which is why I kept coming back. I'm to the point I will find another location (maybe) or another big and tall business. Get your employees on the same page or stop promoting stuff that will not be honored!
Save yourself the hassle and poor customer service and find another business to give your money too!
