Up until tonight, I have had great service at Rita's. I got off work right around 945 and all I wanted was to get something from Rita's. I pulled up at 957 knowing that they didnt close until 10. I go up to the door and find it closed and the gentleman came to the door and informed me that they were closed. After a long day of work, I was a little on edge and informed him that it wasnt 10 o clock and even gestured to the lit sign displaying what time the store hours are. He then proceeded to tell me he had already put everything away and that they were closed. I understand not wanting to be at work any longer than you have to but all i wanted was an italian ice. It requires nothing other than scooping flavored ice out of a bin. There is no blending or toppings or any extra work required.
I love Rita's product, but the customer service could be better. If you are only open until 945 or 950 or whenever your employee decides to lock the door and turn away customers, then that is what should be said on the store hours sign. That way, when people get off work, they don't try to rush over only to be let down by the lazy employee that isnt willing to keep the doors open until the actual closing time.
I was disappointed and let down. I tip 2 dollars for every 3 dollar italian ice that I purchase. Im not stingy and I felt like thats how I was viewed. I will be reconsidering my visits to Rita's. I would rather spend my money where it is appreciated.
