I took my grandkids, ages 10 and 13 to the zoo last weekend. We enjoyed it as usual, but we are very disappointed about the black bear exhibit. Is this temporary? My grand-daughter was so upset about the fact that there was NO trees or other natural habitat for these two bears; She wanted to leave immediately. We also felt sorry for the big cats, who seemed to be in too small of an area. McKenzie is an animal lover, and to hear from a 13 year old that "the zoo should invest money in the animals habitats, instead of building carneval rides" was a very powerful statement.
