I saw Dr Wing for a root canal and it went fine. I had an infection that had spread so I needed another root canal. The second visit was the polar opposite of the first visit. He yelled at me for putting my feet up on his "very expensive" chair (I had recently had back surgery and has asked him if it was ok to put my feet up on the first visit). The second root canal was extremely painful and I was not adequately anesthetized. In addition, he kept pulling and pulling at the corner of my mouth (it will only stretch so far) with his dental mirror and I ended up with a huge sore on the side of my mouth that spread to my face. After that visit I decided that his bedside (or chair-side) manner was not acceptable. I went to a different endodontist who told me that the tooth that he performed the second root canal on was going to have to be extracted because there was still decay under the crown and it was still painful. I got a second and third opinion and both said I had to have the tooth extracted. Ultimately I paid for a very expensive root canal only to later have the tooth extracted and an implant placed. I also told overheard heard him talking about one of his staff members at the front desk, which is certainly not professional in my opinion. I would not recommend him because of his lack of bedside manner, his rude attitude, the pain I endured because he is far from gentle, and the waste of money on a root canal that was unnecessary. It was always a visit to visit type of thing and no overall plan of care was ever discussed. When I called to cancel my third appointment, he had the nerve to call me back to yell at me once again. His staff (with the exception of his assistant) were also rude and condescending. The best thing about the place was the decor. If you choose to go to him, I wish you the best of luck. I will never return to his office.
