| - It started 2 weeks ago. I had a bulge in my driver front tire. I went in to have a new tire purchased (05-18-2017) and drove off happy. The next day, i noticed the tire bulging on the side. I hadn't driven the car more than 5 miles at this point. I drove it to and from work that week hoping it was just a "fluke". When it came to the weekend, the bulge had gotten a little bigger so I went into the Discount Tire store to get it replace. (05-25-17)
I told them at the store, it's obviously a manufacturer's defect, so I expected to get a replacement and be on my way. The agent looked at it, asked if I hit something (which I replied no.), and said he would warranty it out. I was like, sure, whatever gets me a new tire since this one is obviously defective.
We get to the register, and he tells me I need to pay $12-something for the new warranty. I was taken back. Why am I paying anything when this is obviously a defective product? It had been a long day, I slide my card, and thought to myself, I'll just write corporate about it later. $12 is $12, but it still shouldn't have happened.
