  • Downtown Phoenix is always tricky when it comes to finding a good spot to plop down and do some work while enjoying a good cup of joe. You won't be the only ones to do that at Lola's. It's the perfect spot for it. Why go there: The wi-fi is as hot and ready as the coffee and most importantly, the pastries (because caffeinated beverage all need a sidekick). For the most part the pastries look to be made in house. That's aways a plus. The atmosphere is good, even when busy it doesn't feel like you don't belong, sometimes local hangout spots can make you feel like that. Friendly ladies behind the bar. Don't miss: The croissants, or anything made with that very same dough... and the patio (on a beautiful cooler Phoenician day). Overall: A good variety of coffee and pastries to go with your coffee, this place isn't overly hipster in other words, it's not pretentious, it's kept simple and real.
