  • I have been to noir 8 times now and have tried both the synthetic and mink lashes so i feel I have given Noir lash lounge a fair shot! First let me start by saying - I personally did not notice a difference between the two. They last the same amount of time, look the same, feel the same, need the same care... If I happen to have a little more extra cash I opt for the mink but I don't feel there is a difference. It's almost just a mental thing, it costs more so they MUST be better :p Pro's: Overall, I found noir did a good job. They can be a hit or miss at times but for the most part I left with wonderful looking lashes. There is no need for makeup with these babies on and it cuts down my morning routine by 20 minutes! I should note: if you wear heavy eye makeup on a daily - eye shadow, liners, etc, they will not last as long! Con's: On the odd occasion I found that after a week my lashes were bare! Even after very carefully and precisely following the care instructions. This only happened on a few occasions so it may be dependent on the technician - and I've seen a different one almost every time I have been in. As well, I have now decided to take a break from getting them done to let my lashes recuperate. The last 3 times I've been in the technician has said "lots of baby lashes coming in". I have also noticed the last few times they haven't lasted as long. This could be because of the baby lashes. So I will give them time to grow and will likely go back - mostly because now I feel naked without them :/ What bothers me the most about Noir is their 1 refill per new set policy with more than 50% of your lashes remaining. This is NOT because I want more than one refill but because their expectation is that you come in within 2-3 weeks to get your refill done. My lashes last much longer than that before needing a refill, usually between 4-6 weeks, so when I call to book an appointment for a refill, I am usually greeted with a sort of arrogant " it's been 4 weeks since you had your lashes done, are you sure you still have 50% left". I've still managed to book refills after 4 weeks and the girls have always displayed shock at the fact my lashes still looked so full and fabulous after such a long time, however the attitude I have received when trying to book makes me uncomfortable because I'm not a confrontational person and so I usually just opt for getting a new set. I would hope they had a little more faith in their customers. other than that - I would recommend them. But do take a break every so often to let your natural lashes breath :)
