Really more like 3 stars, but 1) This is the closest bar to my house so that's gotta count for a little extra & 2) The one (and so far only) time I stopped in was a early evening on a weekday when there's not a whole lot going on so I didn't get a real good picture of this place.
Going back to #1 it's pretty shocking I've never been here before. It's about a mile from my house & I like dive bars. I know that they redid the place within the past couple years & it's not quite as divey looking from the outside as it used to be.
Anyway, nothing really stands out about this place for better or for worst. It's a dive bar. They serve cheap drinks. There's not a huge beer selection (which is expected at a place like this), but what they have gets the job done. They serve decently priced food that is fine. I had chicken tenders, and like I said, they were fine. I wouldn't say the menu is "limited," but nothing on it really stands outs (they pretty much stick to basic bar food). From what I understand the breakfast items are good though.
The inside is clean. It's mostly high top tables, but there's a couple booths with lower tables along the wall when you first walk in. There's also a patio, but I didn't see what it was like. I know they have live music on certain nights here, which is probably where this place stands out.
I'll be back.
