| - Great middle eastern hole-in-the-wall grocery store/casual eatery combo. Went today for lunch with the SO. We had about a 10 minute wait, which was enough to wander around the grocery store and check out the extensive spice selection.
After being seated, we selected the veggie combo plate and the sultani plate. There was a TON of food, talk about value! the baba ganoush (smoky eggplant) was spot on perfect, and the pita bread that accompanied it was toasted and warm, which was a great touch! Tabouleh was also really good, and the falafel was moist and had a great texture. The only meh item on the veggie combo plate was the grape leaves - they were warm, but didn't have a whole lot of flavor. In contrast, the koobideh and the grilled beef were extremely flavorful. The meal plate came with salad as well as rice, but the meat was definitely the star.
Service was friendly and perfunctory. A no frills, here for the food, leave with a belly ache because you ate so much land of goodness!
