If I didn't cook such similar fare at home so often, Drift would be my go-to spot for casual dinners. The dimly lit interior that's constantly filled makes for a comfortable atmosphere where you're never the only table, but there's never a wait either.
The food is great and of high quality, but not too fancy. The service is consistently pleasant. One of my most memorable meals here featured a gigantic beef burger topped with homemade grainy mustard and super fresh red onions and tomatoes. Their poutines are loaded with cheese curds and chicken gravy. For nights when I'm not as hungry, the soup and quiche of the day combo are perfect. I also love that their ketchup is "homemade" and the wine always comes in nice big glasses.
Eating at Drift is sometimes inspiring, but always a treat!
