  • We booked the Indian Territory (7 hours) b/c we wanted to spend the most time at the Grand Canyon. I agree with all other positive reviews, but just wanted to warn folks that you don't really have a lot of time at either landing points, which was disappointing. The landing at the bottom was spectacular and exciting and only about 20 minutes? I'd love to stay there longer and finish that bottle of champagne, savor the views and chill out for an hour. Then we get to the top and we only have 2 hours to take a bus from point A to point B (eagle point & skywalk), then to point C (guano point). Our pilot was very cool, but let us know that the 2 hours goes fast up here b/c we usually have to wait for a bus to get from each point, and wait for folks to load on the bus, and get down the road, all taking anywhere from 10-15 minutes. Our pilot said we should just try & push our way through to the skywalk, b/c we really want to get to Guano Point for the best views. We all agree and we're stoked, but he sort of freaked us all out b/c if we weren't back by a certain time he warned us that the helicopter leaves and we'd have to find a way back, most likely by bus. Um, heller! We paid A LOT for this helicopter ride and you'll leave us? WOW. So we take the bus from point A to the skywalk and it begins to rain. The rain does stop and we get inside the skywalk area with a large group of folks and wait for about 10 minutes when they announced that due to lightning, the skywalk was closed until they heard back about the weather. We walk outside for a bit at Eagle Point, maybe about 10 more minutes, then decide that since we've only got an hour and 15 minutes left before we need to be back, we better get to point C, have lunch there and look at the views. We get to point C, and Guano Point was amazing. The lunch was OK. However, time did run out and we did not get to see as much as I would've liked. We needed to be back at 4 and we all boarded the bus back to point A at about 3:45. I know the couple with us really wanted to do the skywalk (I did too) and it did open back up, but they were so worried about not making it back in time (so was I), that they didn't risk taking the bus from point C, back to A and then B for the skywalk. For anyone doing this tour and not interested in the skywalk, just go straight to Guano Point and enjoy your time there. My suggestions to Maverick would be to make this tour 10 hours, charge a little more and let folks stay longer and relax. This is something luxurious to do, so why not make it more fancy & posh? Maybe some folks don't mind rushing around but not me, not for something like this. It's the Grand Canyon and I did love the trip, don't get me wrong, but a few more hours to savor the vast and grandiose sights of it all, would have been icing on the cake! Also, we did get a refund on our skywalk tickets. Cheers!
