  • Wow, the confit cracklin' pork shank was amazing. A tender, slow cooked pork shank that seems like it has been finished in the fryer. The outside is crispy, the inside juicy and rich. Served over some of the tastiest mashed potatoes I've had, the potatoes were spiked with bacon, dijon and sauerkraut. A serrano-apple sauce was served on the side as well as some fresh sautéed apples. A well thought out dish with complimenting flavors and textures. My girlfriend had the duck breast which was seared perfectly, medium-rare as requested. It was juicy and flavorful, served with sweet potatoes ricotta gnocchi, and roasted fall root vegetables with a dijon sauce that was not overpowering. The gnocchi were chewy, light and browned slightly. We could have eaten a plate of them alone! Looking forward to more meals here when I am back in the area again.
