| - The first time I came here I asked for a gel manicure, and I guess that's what I got, but instead of using any "builder" gel or hard gel, they used soak off only. I didn't think anything of this because I've only had one other person do my gel nails before, but not at all like this. I asked for a French tip, and they did it, but I had to fix the shape of one of my nails when I got home, and the lines were not crisp. I don't like to complain over minor things or make a scene, and since it was the first time I figured I'd give them another shot when I needed to get my gels filled and not worry about it this first time.
Well this time I brought a friend from out of town. She asked for a gel manicure, French tip, and I asked for a gel fill, French tip, with a regular polish pedicure. We were asked multiple times what we wanted; no one seemed to remember what services we asked for and could not be bothered to check the check-in sheet. Everything my friend and I said to each other about polishes seemed to confuse the staff, even if we weren't speaking to them, because we already told them exactly which services we wanted. I got my pedicure, which was great and my feet feel fine, but mine and my friend's manicures were both nightmares.
For me, they asked multiple times what I wanted even after I clearly stated that I wanted to get a gel fill with French tip; that's it. Just fill in my gels, do the same style as before. Easy. But because I had the bottle for the color of my toenails, suddenly no one can remember that I want a simple fill. They tried to give me and my friend their color wheel basket no less than three times. When I sat down for my manicure after the pedicure, they told ME that the lady I was with couldn't do gel. Like... okay? So why did you sit me with her? Because I've told you four times now that I want a gel fill? So I was moved to another station, with another girl, who then started on my gels with the dremel tool. Fine, that's okay. But then she DREMELLED MY FINGERNAILS AND CUTICLES. That's a HUGE no-no in cosmetology, I found out afterward. I'll come back to how this is affecting me now. She then filled my gel nails with builder gel over top of soak-off gel. It has been a few hours now and my cuticles sting and hurt when I wash my hands, because she literally shaved my fingers with that dremel tool. I also have white spots and dark spots that weren't there when I came in, and when I asked about them the girl quietly said something about "culture" and... I don't even know. But what I do know is that my nails were not taken care of properly.
For my friend, her manicurist took too much of her cuticle and hers now hurt and sting as well. She also noticed that they used a used file on her, which is another big no-no for health and safety reasons in cosmetology. As well, she also asked for a gel french, but her lines were not straight either and when she pointed out a missed spot on her white tips, instead of fixing it her manicurist just wanted to "cover it up" with glitter polish, not fix her white.
I wanted to give this place a second chance because I believe everyone and every business deserves two tries if the first one wasn't awful, but I will honestly not ever be coming back to this place again. They don't listen, and they violate health and safety by using used tools and literally putting a drill to someone's nails, which can break, crack, and split them. Never again.
