  • Busy Friday night so my expectations start low as I never know what type of service I will receive. My night is winding down as the babysitter awaits relief so I figured a quick trip to a trendy spot in Cosmo is just what the doctor ordered. We chose Jaleo as we have always been a fan of Jose Andreas and it's always good to see a loud-ish crowd enjoying the F&B till wee hours. We asked the hostess if there was a two top available and she let us know it would be a twenty min wait but the bar had open seating. Since I prefer my meal to be picked out by the staff with the most knowledge the bartender would be natural selection. I let him know we wanted to try a few small bites and he guided us to the Shrimp, the Octopus, the Cones of deliciousness and Jose's Taco ($22 wasted forever for one bite of cavier and iberico ham). Everything was incredibly tasty however the Taco was a joke. It tells you something about their typical pre-shift when a staff member suggests the "special" or the priciest item on the menu. The overall ham and eggs was "salt with more salt". I started the meal expecting four to five star food and service and left with a five star bill but three star service. Not a great combination. I would try them again as there are good delectable bites.
