I give one star based on their friendliness. My husband and I are both young and we were looking to buy a house and come to find out our credit is awful. We chose to start from scratch and decided to see if we could file bankruptcy. Saw the Pew Law Centers awesome reviews and got set up for a free consultation. I kind of went back and forth with the idea for a couple months and missed a couple appointments and my god did these people blow up my phone. We were finally able to get to the office and sit down and talk about our options. At the time I really thought we were making the right choices. Got all these happy/sob stories from our rep and we met with a lawyer for three minutes and bam! We were starting bankruptcy for the all time low price 2300! Split up between monthy payment plans we didn't think it was the bad. After speaking with a couple people who had previously filed, we come to find out that we are being severely overcharged and found out that there is a debt to income ratio needed to qualify that was never explained and all this started having me worried. I called on Monday, was told to leave a message with their question people and I should hear back in 24 hrs. well 24 hours later and I still haven't heard anything, so my husband and I each call again, and again we get nothing. this goes on for four days til ALAS I get a call back from brendon. I work 6 days a week and am on call 5 out of 7 days a week so I wasn't able to answer. I called back today and spoke with him. He told me he would drop our price by three hundred if the head honchos so allowed him to. I said I would speak to my husband but out of pure curiosity I asked about the cancellation process as this was never explained to me in the initial meeting(my bad I should have asked), he told me there is a 325 dollar cancellation fee, but since Ive paid 250 they would go ahead and eat the rest and call it a day. Are you kidding? oh gee wiz thanks. I get to pay 250 for services I never received and was treated like a ham sandwich at a five course meal. Ya'll are top notch Mr. Pew. I couldn't get a call back regarding my questions but you people had no problem to continue charging up my card. I don't get it. BEWARE YOUNG PEOPLE. Scam artists come in all different shapes and sizes.
