Clarification: Lamian (Mandarin) Ramen (Japanese) and Ramyun/Ramyeon (Korean) all refer to "pulled noodles" that originate from the Chinese LaMian. I'm not sure why they chose to add the English translation "homemade ramen" under their Chinese sign that says "Lan Zhou La mian" because it'll confuse westerners. Japanese ramen usually has a much fattier broth, and Chinese Lamian has a clearer broth, and the noodles are usually hand-pulled.
The food here is pretty good, especially the hand pulled noodles with beef, and the scallion pancake sandwich with beef. The ambiance is not great if you plan on taking a date here.
PS: LanZhou is a city in China
