  • I can't recommend this company. Even if you are on your own without transportation, your cost will be in the same ballpark if you rent a car for a day and pay for the same Power Plant tour (a $15 value) at the Dam. If you are a group of two or more, your cost will be far less even with Groupons. You will also save more than enough to take the longer tour; don't be fooled by the word "premium" in this tour's description. It is the middle rung in entrance fees and tours offered at the Dam. Just walking the Dam and the Bridge and visiting the cafe and gift shop cost nothing, except parking in the structure adjacent to the Dam. You will also be able to spend as much time as you want to see all the exhibits and explore the area. We spent about 2.5 hours at the Dam, including waiting in lines, during our 6.5 hour tour. We missed a lot and felt rushed at each stop. There was no movie about the Dam on the bus, maybe due to technical problems? There was what appeared to be a frozen shot from a documentary on the screen for the trip there, but it never started. Our driver was Willy, and he did his best to keep us entertained with jokes and a few facts, but I was looking forward to learning more on the way, and he is more of a sit down comedian than a tour guide. We did get video on the way back, but it was basically a long commercial for a local ventriloquist's show. He is quite good, but not exactly what I was in the mood for. We got on the bus at the company's office and bus depot, but last on meant last off so we spent the final hour dropping off our fellow passengers, even some far to the west of The Strip. As others have done, we skipped Vinny's in favor of the Subway and donut shop next door. Vinny's has a very limited menu (we were handed a card with four items, one being the $10 buffet), and we decided to leave after ten minutes of waiting for our drinks to arrive. On the plus side, the Dam and Bridge are fabulous, the surrounding scenery is amazing, the tour at the Dam was short but informative and well done, and the midweek March day was beautiful and uncrowded. So make sure you go, but find a way to spend most of your trip at the site and not on a bus.
