  • Okay, so it's been awhile since I rented from Enterprise at Sky Harbor, the last time I there was there, there was a real safety issue involving the maintenance of the vehicle. When I came back to Phoenix, it's nice to know that NOTHING HAS BEEN HANDLED OR FIXED, AND THE MECHANICS CONTINUE THEIR HALF-ASS WAY OF DOING THINGS... Once again, the tire pressure on the 2016 Chevy Malibu was nearing the safety limit of the tire. Can anyone guess what happens when a tire at nearly 50 psi does when you drive on the hot Phoenix freeways at 75 or 80 mph? It exceeds the operating temperature from rolling resistance and heat and can fail. Having a tire blowout at that speed is not my idea of a good day. Also, hey Enterprise, you know you're wearing out your tires twice as fast, and let's not overlook your liability if you killed me because your so-called mechanics over inflated the tires for the road conditions. So when I returned the car, I pointed this out to the Rep. His only response was this... "All our mechanics at ASE certified." "Really? Hahahahahahahahahahaha!" Then they should know, you wait for the tires to cool, check the pressure, in-case you're wondering THE CORRECT TIRE PRESSURE IS ON THE DRIVERS DOOR FRAME. It is not, "whatever you want it to be." ASE Certified DOESN'T mean intelligence, commitment, or pride in one's work. It only means you can get a job. Quality of service is still the responsibility of the management. (FYI - you too can find out what the tire pressure is by going through the car's menu system.)
