  • A friend and I came here on a Friday night around 8pm. The main part of the dining room was busy but we were seated right away. It became very clear from the beginning that only 3 employees were working in a restaurant full of hungry patrons on a Friday night. It took a very long time for the server to bring us water, and then an even longer wait to ask if we'd like to put in any appetizers or order food. While we waited for our third dinner companion, we put in an order for the Curry on Murray trio, which consisted of two crab rangoons, two shrimp rolls and two spring rolls. The crab rangoons were a different take on the normal frozen treat you get in a Chinese restaurant and were tasty, though my friend didn't enjoy it. The spring rolls were entirely forgettable and most likely frozen. The real star of the show was the delicious smokey shrimp roll. I would order that again 3 times over and be happy getting nothing else. I also ordered the fried dumplings which were akin to Chinese shumei dumplings with a ground shrimp and pork mixture inside. Shumei is my favorite, so these dumplings were right up my alley. There was a solid half an hour between our appetizers coming out and our main entrees being delivered. Our server was most likely in the back helping the one lonely chef do the cooking, because they were nowhere on the floor for what seemed like a very long time between water refills (which were also few and far between). Once our main dishes came out, the my curry wasn't piping hot but it was still delicious. My friend finished his pineapple curry and loved it, and our other pal loved her pad thai. I will give this restaurant kudos for not being shy with the shrimp--I had LEAST 8 in my dish which is downright unheard of! I'd visit this place for takeout, but I wouldn't bother eating in and suffering through the slow service again. My friends and I were there for an hour and 45 minutes! That is way too long for what would have only been in hour in standard restaurants.
