  • Oh, happy day! After hearing lots of people talk about T&T, I finally ventured out there and was I ever glad that I did! This is a huge Asian supermarket (largely selling Chinese products, but also some Japanese, Indian, and other if you know where to look). They had all manner of beloved favorites like Pocky, noodles of all sorts, steamed cakes, dried mushrooms, bamboo shoots, oyster sauce, barbeque pork buns, frozen shumai, etc. Plus all the esoteric things that I only know from having grown up in a Chinese household, like the fuzzy shredded dried pork in a tub that looks like sawdust, little bricks made of sweetened fried noodles and honey, cartons of fresh quail eggs, fresh pork tongue, etc. Basically, everything for the hobbyist to the hardcore Chinese foodie. Many of the prices are sort of amazing, especially for the produce. Much cheaper than you'd find in other supermarkets. If I have one complaint, it's that there are things imported from China that could really be sourced more locally, such as carrots. Do your carrots really need to have traveled that far to get to your kitchen? I have to give props as well to this store for its cleanliness. I have been in Chinese supermarkets that have been pretty foul, and if you're dealing with tanks full of live fish and crustraceans, and barrels of dehydrated creatures of all sorts, things can get messy pretty fast. But even the area with the seafood and meat counters was quite sparklingly clean, which made the experience just that much more pleasant. If you're looking for Chinese groceries, this place has it all, and then some. For me, it also came with a heavy dose of nostalgia for my mom's pantry.
