I feel poorly about giving a bad review, since the ostensible goal of this clinic is praiseworthy, that is to sterilize domestic pets at a less than abusive price, which unfortunately is the current norm for most veterinary practices.
That said, I have to report my personal experience with a 5 month male feline. I delivered my cat at 7:15 a.m. As it turned out he was not operated on until at 2 p.m. This caused him to go approximately 14 hours with nothing by mouth. As an anesthesiologist I have to point out the significance of prolonged preoperative fasting. Excessive fasting causes severe dehydration which has significant implications for the conduct of general anesthesia and the incidence of poor perioperative outcomes. This type of fast in a human infant at similar body weight (5 lbs) would be considered indisputable malpractice for an elective surgery.
Upon receiving my cat I found that both of his eyes had blood in the anterior chambers, the clear liquid between the colored iris and the clear cornea. This made both his normally golden colored eyes appear orange (see images on my google review). In an operative setting the most probable cause of this would be trauma by the anesthetic mask, either using an over sized mask or inattention to placement and pressure by the veterinary tech.
On post operative day 6, my cat became lethargic and that evening drained a surgical abscess of serosanguinous fluid (i.e. bloody puss). Post operative abscesses are considered an untoward surgical complication.
This is my 9th male cat, all of which I have had neutered. I have never had this type of terrible experience.
