Let me start by saying I have used brakes plus since I started driving 5 years ago. I have my oil changed as it should be and service my car as listed in my owners manual. I recently moved here from Colorado where I grew to trust and love brakes plus. I had a warranty on the brakes I selected so I came to this brakes plus to get the pads swapped and rotors machined with my oil change. When I was driving to a concert that evening, I noticed at low speeds my brakes were grinding. I asked my Colorado brakes plus manager what I should do and he said take it back, they need to adjust the (insert mechanical term here - I don't remember what he said.) I didn't go back right away, but with my next oil change I mentioned it, since it had gotten much worse, my steering wheel was now shaking when I would brake, squealing, and the grinding was horrendous. 3 things happened here. 1 They said my brakes were fine, if I wanted them to stop making noise I would have to purchase the more expensive set. Now, keep in mind these were warranty replacements so I had the same exact pads on when I came in that were put on by my Colorado Brakes Plus. So I tried to tell him what the manager from the Colorado place said and he acted like he had no idea what I meant. The second thing that went wrong at this point was he said all of my shocks/struts needed to be replaced. Wouldn't you know hey we're having a buy 3 get one free sale on those puppies! Of course they would try to sell me some. No thank you. The third thing is that they want me to change my air filter every time I come in. I know we live in a desert, but that is quite often to change that! Plus I can do it myself thank you. Oh! I almost forgot to mention that I checked my owners manual for what needed to be done at that mileage and the guys did not even know what it was talking about! I would never recommend this Brakes Plus.
