  • Fancy, though it might seem, I really enjoyed my inaugural experience at Spoon. The waiter was charming (and I assume NOT single.. but I was intrigued). I enjoyed the pork shoulder entree and started with the garden saiad. Both hearty portions, I was was also mpressed with the presentation of the food. Sometimes, you go somewhere and it is all about the visual and then the taste of the actual meal is... ok. At Spoon, you pay and they deliver. My guest had the hanger steak entrĂ©e and started with a gorgonzola soufflĂ© that looked, again, out of this world. The wine selection was stellar. I am deep in late fall/winter mode with my red wine obsession. The Malbec on the wine list (if there were 2, this was the $11-$12 one) was a delight. I will be back, especially since I live walking distance from the joint.
