| - Moon Valley is a bit on the pricey side for trees but they know their stuff! We worked with Pat and he was very knowledgeable and friendly. I have no complaints about the staff at Moon Valley....HOWEVER, when it came time to have the tree planted, that was not a good experience at all. We were told the tree would be planted between 9-12 a week later. We live just a few miles from Moon Valley. I had the day off, which is good since our dog isn't friendly with people in the backyard. I waited all morning for the guys to show up. I called at 12:30 and was told "they'll be there very shortly." At 1:30 they were still a no-show. I called back and asked for the driver's contact number. The driver, Ryan, said he decided to make me one of the last stops since we were so close to Moon Valley -- yet he didn't run this change in plans by me! He reminded me that I didn't need to be there for the planting but I wanted to be there. I wanted to be sure the tree went in the right spot and could find out more about proper care for my new tree -- all while keeping the dog away.
By the time they arrived, I had to head out for an appointment. Ryan had me sign all the paperwork even though I wasn't there for the planting or the instructions on how to keep the tree healthy. To make matters worse, he had the nerve to ask me to post a good review so he and his crew could earn a tip! I was really insulted and frustrated. When I returned, I came home to see a sign in my front yard. I never gave approval for that -- and could have been fined by my association for having it there. Not professional at all. The paperwork that I initialed also said that I had seen them plant the tree, learned about how to care for it, saw that they cleaned up the site, etc. I did NONE of these things. Too bad the drivers aren't considerate like the sales staff on-site.
