  • Beckett's Table! I've heard numerous good things about this place, but the food really didn't deliver this night. We arrived for our 7:00 reservation and was seated promptly. The service was great, and waiter did a great job, but it's all about the food. We started with the bacon cheddar and grits and sausage, The biscuits weren't even hot or fresh, they barely were warm. The grits and sausage was pretty good. Not sure worth the price, considering you barely get any sausage. Our entree we ordered the Osso Bucco and short ribs. Both entrees were OK, nothing to rave about. One great thing about our dishes, they were presented well and looked very appetizing. Overall we just weren't blown away about any of the dishes. Lastly we ended the nice with dessert. We shared the fig and pecan pie with ice cream. My lady is a huge Pecan Pie fan, and she thought it was very average. The big knock was the Pecan Pie wasn't hot or warm, it was room temperature. The ice cream even had a weird taste. Overall the dinner was experience was good, the service was good, great ambiance, and the restaurant had a good vibe, but the food was very average. I was hoping to get Shepard's Pie, but it wasn't on the menu this time. I was hoping for great biscuits, but they were a huge bust, considering they weren't even warm. Maybe it was just a off night for them.
