Immensely regret coming here for the convenience. I didn't have acetone at home to soak off my gel nails myself and just thought I'd go here to get it done. They told me I had a layer of acrylic under the gel layers and not just gel so I said okay, can you get it off or no? She said she could but manually and I said you can soak off the gel layers. She said she'll try, puts on the acetone for 2 minutes and said no it didn't work. I know the top layers are soak off gel, how? Because I sat there to get it done and the jar said "soak off gel" while it was being used on my finger - 3 layers color with 1 layer top coat. Sure it's not the SHELLAC or BIO that they are used to because it was a Japanese brand but still, listen when the client is telling you something? In the end she pretty much cut off any length I had, didn't shape what she had cut and left my nail beds rough. If she had just soaked off the gel like I asked, I could have dealt with the base layer of acrylic myself. Or, I would have been grateful if she just said that they didn't have the tools to deal with this and I should go back to the same salon I had them done. My nails looked chewed up after she was done and I couldn't stand it so I went to the closest Shoppers to get a nail buff. I definitely wouldn't call them experienced nail technicians. But, everyone else there seemed happy so I guess they're only Shellac experts.
