Saving Gigi seems to be under new ownership (Nov 2017). The decor has received a much-needed update (I liked the thrift-store feel, but things were actually just starting to fall apart), but the prices have increased as a result. And although it really did need I facelift, I feel like it has lost its original charm. There is a lot of dark grey which makes it a bit heavy and it just doesn't feel like a comfortable place to hang out. They were playing some annoying pop music on the sound system, which didn't help the ambiance. I had a medium Americano and a small muffin and the bill came to over $7 - the Americano alone was $4. Hard for me to justify when I can get a delicious Americano at the Common $2.50. If you like tea you're in luck, they have 30 varieties. I would perhaps go back for tea but not for coffee.
