  • Visiting this property quite often but never had a chance to stay here until mothers day weekend opportunity presented itself. Love coming here and walking around, eating at Javiers. Not I had a chance to rate and enjoy the rooms and pool. Very bizarre setup and if you dont know your way around its quite a challenge to find the tram to Bellagio, and get to the strip. Its also connected to its sister property, the Vdara. We went to the Vdara pool the second day as you are allowed if a guest at Aria, but left after one hour; just so small and lifeless. Only good thing pool has outside showers. There is a starbucks and a market cafe downstairs and some pool food, thats it, nothing else at Vdara. The Aria: POOL: food poolside is...guess what?overpriced and isnt that good. The crab and artichoke dip is to die for, but they serve with potato chips (sigh) the chips are good too, but cmon to pair with this? The chicken fingers and curly fries are lukewarmingly nuked and fucking gross. The barbacoa meat (added) nachos are so-so, meat good if you dont spit out 3-4 times the fatty nasty as fuck parts. Not worth the price whatsoever; 3 items and a few soft drinks your at a 100 washingtons and running already. Also took quite a while to flag down a server (20-25 minutes) And, full smoking allowed everywhere in and around the pool (yuck) I honestly wonder what architects and planners are thinking when they make a puny sized pool for a hotel of this stature. Im talking holiday inn and a-half; 2 very thin and not very long pools with seats jammed next to each other not very appealing, and its a shame because the decor and area is very nice. All they played was cheezy 80's music the entire weekend. 80's? yes, pool vibe/setting for prime property no. They have a roped off pool just as shitty if you want to pay for it instead. The one great redeemer was the hot jet pools-3 small but very good for back pain which I had every morning from the fucked-up poor excuse of what the call beds and pillows. There are 2 keg stands of free tap water, one on each pool, in which taste ranges from clean and crisp to lead pipes and ass, depending on shift of bottles and location. ROOMS: Modern, nice walk-in shower with a hot tub inside. Thats cool. I pad which I had no idea how the fuck to work until son showed me does everything from drapes control to ordering starbucks to music/light/tv settings. As for the bed and pillows....absolutely fucking TERRRRRIBLE. Sink in the frighteningly uneven bed, and I would had better neck support sleeping on hollow marshmallows, my goodness you call those things pillows? Shameful. Nice room but terrible beds. How do these pass the even loosest tests is beyong me. I guess they do it on purpose so you dont sleep and keep those slots busy downstairs. A very long and tentacled property, take your time exploring and getting lost hour by hour. Highly recommend Javiers, one of my fave restaurants here and in general.
