| - This store will probably go out of business soon if something doesn't change! The staff is HORRIBLE! This is how my last visit went...
Came in with 5 kids. I am the fun auntie so I had all my nieces and nephews with me. We were headed to the water park but I needed to stop into Kmart to exchange a bottle of sunblock I had purchased on my last visit. It would not spray. You could shake it and tell it was completely full and had never been used. I didn't have my receipt but I called the day before and asked the manger if anything could be done without a receipt. Manager was rude but said yeah bring it in for an exchange only. No problem, that's all I wanted. A sunblock that works! I never asked for my $11 back! Anyway, so I get there and the lady gave me a hard time. Said it was policy that they are not allowed to do returns with no receipt. I have never exchanged or returned anything at Kmart in my whole life so I didn't know what the policies were but I was hell bent on finding out. That seems like a bunch of bs to me. So after 5 mins of arguing with the lady she finally calls a manager. So I step aside with my 5 kids, patiently waiting to go to the water park! 5 mins goes by, 10 mins goes by... Finally I go looking for the damn manager myself. Of course no where to be found. I then told the employee to give me back my broken bottle of sunblock and I'm calling corporate and anything else I can do because this is crap! Again, $11 damned bucks! Just greatly pissed me off.
The lady goes to hand the sunblock back to me and whispers to me to go get anywhere one and she will just swap it for the same thing. Really? Why didn't u just say that 25 mins ago? So in the end, she swapped it out. I am very grateful for that. We didn't have to come out of pocket another $11 and that was used towards fun things at the water park.
Oh, I didn't mention this... As the lady was helping other customers while me and my pack waited for management to show, we took a 5 min walk to the seasonal section to look at the squirt guns and goggles. Asked 1 employee where Seasonal was and he just looked at me and pointed. No greeting or anything. Then followed us for a good 5 mins acting like he was doing stuff when I know he wasn't. He was trying to make sure we didn't steal. I was pissed and kept giving him dirty looks. Finally just as I got to the boiling point he left. I'm sure he probably sensed that I had about enough! I have never stole anything. Never! And neither do my babies (nieces, nephews, little brother) they work their butts off for their allowance and have total respect for a dollar! Anyway, My niece and little 5 year old brother decided they wanted to purchase a pair of goggles with their saved up money. I advised against it but it was their own money and their decision. So after we get to the water park, the stupid bubble guppies goggles broke $10 goggles. She was very bummed. That was 2 weeks ago and we just through the goggles in the trash and I bought her new ones from big 5. Yeah a little more pricey but at least we don't have to deal with these idiots again! And we know if my $22 goggles break, big 5 won't treat me like I did something wrong if I have to return or exchange!
Stay away from this location! It sucks!!
