When we booked our room we were to receive a $50 food and beverage credit as part of booking through our m life promotion. It could have been my mistake (my mistake for not taking a screen capture of the offer when I booked it), but the way the front desk handled it - I was not satisfied. No apologies, no willingness to check into it. Just a blunt no, insincere apology and acted as though 'please move along so we can check in the next customer.' We have come to expect a little higher level of customer service and kindness. Been staying here for over 25 years - as a kid with family and now as an adult with my wifey. we have stayed at other nicer, newer, swanky hotels on the strip. Another disappointment this trip is lack of cocktail waitresses in the casino. They are few and far between. Also, we find the casino to be extremely smokey. Lower ceilings I'm sure account for this. The pool is very nice, lush landscape and large pool. The reason for my three star review this trip also is the 5 AM wake up call from a very loud gurgling shower drain. Never heard anything like this before. Perhaps it's just the age of the structure showing it's age. Not happy with the $25 poolside cocktails either, but even I have to admit that it was the best piƱa colada I may have ever had. All in all, 3 stars for poor customer service at check in...likely to give this place another try in the future and give the benefit of the doubt that it was just a poor shift manager or an "off day" this time around.
