  • My husband surprised me with a 60 minute Float at the True Rest Center in Scottsdale. I read breifly about it and was optimistic because i suffer from chronic migraines and welcome ideas to help me. I arrived at my appointment time and i was registering and filling out paperwork on a tablet. Watched a video about the experience and learn more about other clients perspective. Another client joined the tour with me and we were shown the prep room for after the float experience. Then they showed us the pod rooms and where everything was (Shower, which buttons did what, pure water spray, towels etc) i stayed in one of the rooms locked the door undressed and began to get into the pod and i started hearing "mood music" for relaxation. The water felt soft and buoyant due to all the epson salt. So as i laid down i closed the pod door.. the mood music lasted 15 minutes. Then total silence for 45 minutes. There was mood lighting which i could have turned off but i dont like pitch blackness, but i may once i get used to floating in the pod. I actually fell asleep a couple of times and was very relaxed once the experience was done. I am definitely returning and suggesting to friends and family to do the same because its not only floating in salt water it has sensory reduction properties and if you have chronic ailments it helps tremendously. I had hip surgery about 3 to 4 months ago and it hasn't been sore since. Awesome experience of silence !
