My family and I just moved here from California and checked out a few gym and classes for our 20 month old daughter. Gymboree stood out by far. Upon arrival Gina greeted us with a welcoming smile and was very pleasant. She mad us feel very comfortable.Sue was the instructor for the day. Sue is absolutely the best instructor we've encountered at the facility this far.
Since it is our first month our classes are unlimited. Because my my Wife and I both work late afternoon and evenings this works out great. Sue is very attentive and interacts with every parent and child. Our daughter loves to see her. We attended an open play class this week and the host appeared to be really occupied with only her child and didn't pay much attention to anyone else. We did speak when I purchased a few toys for my daughter and she was very nice. I think she was just having a bad day.
The downside
Most parents speak and make small talk and look out for each others children. However a few parents seem to be very rude. They never speak to you or your child. They just stare at us endlessly. I'm going to assume its because our baby has TWO mothers. Its really uncomfortable when people just stare at is. Id rather you just say hello or ask whatever question you have. We've been coming for almost a month and see the same parents. There is one mom that was playing a run and chase game with our baby and hers. I don't know her name but she always speaks. She rocks.
Overall my Wife and I enjoy seeing how happy out daughter is when she comes to see Gumbo,Sue and all of her new friends at gymboree.
