This was my very first visit. Cassandra was sitting at the back of the store with her back to the door when I walked in. I looked around for a moment and noticed her. She turns from her work. No "hello" or "how are you doing". Without a smile or measure of politeness she simply says "Yes?" I was taken aback. She seemed genuinely annoyed at my being there. I felt genuinely awkward and uninvited. I thought to myself "what does she mean 'Yes?' Isn't this an alteration store? I am obviously here for an alteration. Was I supposed to have an appointment? Should I have called ahead?" I stammer around my words and she coldly interrupts with "Are you here for an alteration, I'll be there in a minute" and turns back to her work. With this brief interaction, I knew this was not the kind of person I wanted to work with. I turned and left. She followed but just enough to stick her head out of the front door. I told her I would be right back. She rolled her eyes and went back into the store confirming that I had made the right decision to leave.
