I stayed here twice over the course of two months as I was working at a client site down the street. The location is super convenient to the airport and just a short drive to Pittsburgh proper.
Standard Doubletree, with nothing to distinguish this one from the countless other ones I stay at over the course of the year.
As a Diamond member, I get free breakfast. Instead of a buffet, they have some standard combos that you can order without an extra charge. After two weeks of creative breakfast ordering, I have to say that I would prefer a buffet. We also dined at the restaurant (Jackson's) a few times for dinner (out of sheer laziness). I'll give the chef an A for effort because he is trying to offer creative menu items, but there was a serious lack of execution when we ordered anything that sounded remotely interesting.
Other gripes:
Wi-fi was sloooooww.
All Pepsi, all the time (even in the hotel lobby store....grrrrr.)
But hey, the cookies were fab and their staff was really helpful and nice.
