rev:text	2 years ago I was traveling through town and my truck broke down so I had my truck towed here on the recommendation of a friend. The transmission went out and a rebuild was recommended. 11 days later I flew into town to pick my truck up and still had to wait most of the day as it wasn't finished yet. When I finally got my truck it was time for a long drive home to Salt Lake City. I didn't make it. My truck broke down again about 125 miles from home, spewing transmission fluid all over the road. Had it towed to a local shop. Because I had to wait so long to pick up my truck during the day, this was now the middle of the night and I am stuck on the side of I-15 near a one-horse town. Turns out one of the transmission cooler lines had burst. Thankfully it wasn't an expensive repair, but shouldn't they have been checked as part of a rebuild? I still encountered transmission fluid leak issues repeatedly, having my truck towed to the local mechanic's shop numerous times to try to resolve the issue. Unfortunately, my local mechanic was unable to resolve the problem so I took it to a transmission specialist. It appears that Carl's Cool Cars was re-using gaskets and parts to either save time or money, or both!! I had to pay (again) to have the transmission dropped and reinstalled to have these items repaired again, when they should have been repaired as part of the rebuild!!! Now, the owner of Carl's did the transmission rebuild and left the install to one of his shop monkeys. The issues that remained after this "rebuild" were: 1) Improper linkage hookup, causing 1st gear to not function properly 2) Improper inspection of hoses (or cutting/crimping them inadvertently due to sloppy workmanship), causing a huge fluid leak and stranding me on the side of the road 3) Continued severe fluid leaks, ruining my brand-new driveway by staining it with trans fluid, caused by the shoddy rebuild Would I trust my vehicle to this shop ever again? You tell me...
