PROS
-Downtown location! Ever since they announced a downtown location, I had been patiently waiting for their new location to open. Living downtown, this is a shorter commute for me. And I can imagine that it's much more convenient for those working downtown to snag a bike before or after work, or even at lunch. And for those who need it - there are showers so you can get back to work-ready after your ride.
-Great space. The new retail and locker space feels much bigger than their Hingetown space, so everyone's not on top of each other getting ready for class. The lockers are also pretty sweet - no need to bring your own locks and, if you bring a USB cord, you can charge your phone while you ride.
-Same great ride. Even though there may be more bikes and the layout is different, you get the same great Harness ride that you get at the Hingetown location with the same great (and some new!) teachers. You still ride in the dark with the pack to the beat of the music.
-Note to beginners. If you've never taken a spin class before, Harness is a great place to start. The trainers will set you up on the bike and walk you through the basics. And if you feel like you need a little extra help, they often have an introduction to spin class you can sign up for as well.
CONS
-Class schedule. Understandably, the downtown location has chosen classes that could appeal to both residents living and professionals working downtown. I prefer later classes (6:00p or later), so the schedule is not always ideal. But the good news is, Hingetown is not far away and I can always jump on a bike there!
BOTTOM LINE
-If you are new to Harness or it's your millionth ride, you will get a great ride with a great pack!
