Authentic. Quality. Tasty.
Three words that came to mind after every dish eaten here. The ambience in Sushi Hiro is lowly lit and quiet. The focus and spotlight is on the sushi chefs and it is enjoyable to observe them.
Upon entering and exiting, the entire staff greets every guest with a shouted welcoming in Japanese and/or English. From the second you walk in, it feels like home here and there is a relaxed environment. There isn't anything I don't recommend here but the dishes that stood out were the toro and crispy rice special, spicy scallop, and the takoyaki. The toro belly melts in your mouth and it is complemented by the crispy rice patty it sits upon. The spicy scallop is remarkably fresh and the takoyaki is decadent. The chefs here REALLY know how to cut and select fish. The service is impeccable and fast! They make you feel like they are serving you in their home. A definite return visit is in the near future!!
