  • Super divine extremely special yoga studio. I knew the second I walked in and was greeted by Kim's huge smile and the very lovely essential oil scent of her yoga mat spray, that I was in love. Then she takes me on the mini tour and I walk into a sublime calming hard wood floor, partially draped, few mirrors music filled yoga room. All of the instructors are amusing, funny, genuine and warm. No matter what your level, they are genuinely happy you are there. I love the quaintness of it, and the tough but gentle yoga love that Kim and Jordan ensue upon my not always strong or coordinated body. What you put into it, is what you get out of it? No. What they put into it is what you get out of it. Dark Star invests their willingness to be open, honest, kind and non judgmental and gosh darn funny during some pretty intense yet gentle yoga classes. Sometimes I feel so good after the 5:15 class, that I stay for the 6:45 class. I'm all about the hugs and the love. Anyone that can say, "Align the block with your butt crack" is ok in my book!!! It's nice to be able to roll in no matter what your level, what your attire and possibly a little late and have everyone welcome you. That's a class act in my book. Sharing is caring. The valley should be grateful that Kim and Jordan joined forces to make a safe haven studio. Everyone has a journey and everyone has a story. If you are lucky, and in need your path may cross with DSY and your stories may be told, either in the movement, the energy or your heart. See you on the mat! Namaste"
