  • THIS PHARMACY IS HAZARDOUS TO HEALTH. I have been attempting to use this pharmacy for seven years, and I have frequently had unacceptable problems. But what happened this week was the last straw. I've had four heart attacks, the last two very severe. I called 5 days ago to get 3 meds refilled. I am alone and housebound. It is very difficult for me to get anywhere. There has been a delay in filling one of my prescriptions. I called three days in a row, and every time, I was told something different. First, I was told the meds would be ready in an hour, and I said I would be in the next day. I called the next day, and I was told the prescription wasn't ready, but my doctor had order 16 days' worth. I take 6 a day, for a total of 96 pills. Again, I said I would be in the following day, which was today. I called today and was told the doctor had ordered 540 pills, my insurance wouldn't cover it, and I had to call my insurance company if I had a problem. Can't they keep their story straight for 24 hours? I can't get the same info two days in a row, and I'm supposed to trust these people? I absolutely had to have one of the meds today, so I had to deal with the extreme difficulty I face whenever I have to leave the house to pick up two of three meds. I guess I'll have to go without the other one. THIS IS HEALTH CARE? THIS IS A PHARMACY? Folks, this is why we need socialized medicine. It's not just cost; leaving something as important as health care in the hands of profit-driven corporations that are completely unregulated is DANGEROUS. I remember when pharmacies were LOCALLY owned. One pharmacist who cared about human life. They didn't sell Christmas trees and barbecues. If you called, you talked to a PHARMACIST, not some snotty kid with a two-year degree, and it was the same person every time. Large centralized corporations have made living in this culture very difficult. But when it comes to health care, it is outright dangerous. This pharmacy should be closed, and the pharmacists' licenses should be revoked. Meds are not the consumer crap the rest of the store sells. Meds deal with people's lives. There's a special circle of hell for anyone in health care who cares more about money than human life, and everyone in this pharmacy will be there two minutes after their hearts stop beating.
