I brought two watches in to be fixed in early August. Both needed new batteries, one needed a new crystal the other needed the strap to be reattached (I brought all the parts).
I was told the new crystal would be 4-6 weeks as it would need to be sent away for that. Fine, no problem.
I got a call the next day saying they could not fix the broken strap on the other watch. Personally I didn't think it was a big job but I'm not a watch repairman so I went to pick it up.
I hadn't heard anything so mid-September I went back to inquire about the status of the other watch. They hadn't heard anything either so they would follow up and get back to me. They called me the next day to tell me that the watch would be ready in about two weeks. Two weeks later and no one calls me to let me know its ready. So I wait another two weeks. I go in again to see if its ready and its not. At that point I tell them that the wait time is unacceptable and I want my watch back. It takes me another week to get it back.
So all told it took 9 weeks and three separate trips and I still don't have a working watch.
The best part? I took both watches in to another jeweler who said that they would both be fixed later that day.
