  • I actually worked for Dillards the year of 2015, for two and a half months at this location and I will tell you why... They are money hungry assholes. They literally tell you to keep adding on items, even if that customer was looking for one item that day. I've been in retail for 4 years and I have never seen such horrible customer service and rudeness in my life. This store is so slow in traffic that as soon as one customer enters the store everyone jumps on this poor innocent customer looking for a sale. We are told that if they spend under $200 or less that they shouldn't matter and shouldn't even be shopping at Dillard's! Sales associates will get into physical and verbal altercations over customers and you can feel the tension in the room. The poor customers are in the middle of it all. All the employees stand around talking crap about each other or the company. They lead you to believe the customer is what's important for this company but then only care how much the customer is spending not about the needs of customers. They only train employees for one week in the store behind closed doors and throw them right into the action. Which isn't good customer service if you ask me. Since they clearly don't know anything except for how much money they need to make and how much money the company made that year. Notice how many times I said money? That's all this company is about. The boss doesn't handle internal problems as well. Employees are fighting and being disrespectful and disgusting to one another but it's okay he made $12,000 that day. The clothes are very nice here. I'd rather spend my money elsewhere because this company doesn't care about you. What makes anyone think this company cares about its customers when they don't even care about their employees? My manager also picked me as her favorite then would talk shit about the other employees which was so heart breaking. I walked out one day. Since they also don't give you two weeks. Because when you give a two weeks notice they fire you on the spot. I'm not the only employee to walk out either.. Have fun at Dillard's future customers and employees and good luck!
