  • This is in re: to a park and ride service I scheduled on Friday the 19th- Monday the 22nd. However, my return leg of travel was the worst experience I have ever had traveling; as a CEO of a global nonprofit, I travel often so that is a big statement. I called as I arrived in baggage approximately 10:15pm. The desk clerk (I thought he said his name was Jacob) stated it could be up to 30minutes, go out door 5 & wait at the transportation benches. After 40 minutes I called to check in, the same clerk answered. He first said, "They went by and said you were not there." I replied that was impossible because I was in the spot less than 5 minutes after I called them and never left. Then he changed his story, saying they were actually too full to pick me up the first time, so the van obviously did not stop at all. I was sitting on the far left bench, as I am disabled so I could not stand and wait. Ten minutes after the call I saw the Four Points van pull up in the front (far right) of all the parked vans already there. I leaned forward to gather my things and raised my hand (still seated as it takes me a minute to get up) they started to pull away! No one got out, checked on me, etc., just pulled away. I waved again and they didn't look back/see me I guess. I immediately called the clerk again and said they just came and are leaving, I can still see them driving away. His response was "he said you weren't there". I could even hear him on the phone with the driver who was saying "she wasn't there". Instead of apologizing and redirecting him to go around once more he said, "I'm sorry, but you weren't there. We have witnesses who were in the van." Witnesses? Unless they know what I look like, that's impossible as there were about 12 people on the benches waiting. I said, "I am disabled" and explained my actions and he said, "Sorry, you have to wait another 30-60 minutes." I replied that I could not do that, because of my disease, I can't sit that long and I'd need to take a cab and, if so, that his company needs to pay me back for this service and the now cab ride. He stated, "My company doesn't have to do anything for you, you booked with a third party" then giggled. I said that this is totally unacceptable and he said, "now you are being hostile and I'm hanging up on you." Click. I called back and asked to speak to a manager (the same clerk answered the phone). He recognized my voice, paused, and said, "there isn't anyone else here, just me." "Jacob," I said (I thought that was his name), " there is no way I believe that you are alone there. I want to speak to a manager". He said he was the person in charge and added, "And my name isn't Jacob" and giggled. So I said, "fine, when I get there I'm coming in to talk to you/a manager." He said, "If you show up I will call the police." What? He hung up on me again. At this point I knew the van wasn't coming back so I was forced to take a cab. It cost me almost $29, which I want the hotel to reimburse me for. When I arrived, I walked in, waiting in line for the clerk, who seemed to be the only person working behind the counter. When it was my turn he asked how he could help me, I laid my business card down in front of him and said, "I'd like to leave my card and have a manager contact me please." He picked up my card, put it about chin level, opened his hand and let it drop to the floor. He stated, "This is what I think about you and your card, it's now in the trash." I asked for his name, he refused to give it to me. I took out my cell phone, placed another card at the desk and attempted to video that I did this, saying I am trying to leave a second card because 'this man' (pointed the phone in his direction) refused me service and threw my other card in the trash." He put his hands over his face and said I couldn't video him legally and picked up the phone, telling me he is calling the police to have me arrested! I pointed to my card and said, "Tell them they can find me here" and I left. I have now left 3 messages with management but have not heard back. If they just pull up the security footage of the front desk they will be able to verify my story, but apparently they don't care. Again, I am a reputable CEO of a global nonprofit who is disabled. I have never in my life experienced such unprofessionalism from start to finish, clearly from an incompetent person who they have trusted to handle business matters.
