I stayed here a few days ago for a night for a quick early AM departure from Phoenix.
Check-in was fast and easy - though it was 9pm - but I easily walked up to their Hilton Honors desk and was provided with my keys which were ready and waiting for me. I had done the check-in earlier on my phone and had selected my room - I love that feature of Hilton.
We had a rental car to return and were given a pre-printed map with information on where to drop the rental and how to be picked up and brought back to the hotel via the Hilton shuttle (it's about a 10 minute drive from the airport). I was told to call when I arrived at Hertz as it takes 10-15 minutes for the shuttle driver to pick me up.
We did just that and were informed - by the SAME man - that I needed to call when we arrived at Terminal 2 which is another shuttle ride from Hertz to be picked up. What? That is opposite of what I was told. So we return the rental, ride the shuttle from there to Terminal 2 and now call him back - he now says - guess what? It's going to be 10-15 minutes. What in the hell?
Anyway - we finally get picked up at around 11:15 and get back to our room. The room was the exact one I selected - it didn't have enough towels for 4 guests though I specified that many - we were only given 2 room keys - and the fan in the bathroom didn't work. We had all this resolved quickly and it was a nice, clean, well-kept room with comfy pillows and some space for our bags.
All-in-all it was on par with my expectations for Hilton - if not for the shuttle issues I would have given 4 stars - but that was ridiculous since it was the SAME person who gave me conflicting info and must've confused himself.
