I have stayed in homewood suites all over the US and just love the feeling of the bedroom, bathroom, livingroom and kitchen. I love the breakfasts + weekday dinners, I have also used the shopping they will do for you when you stay awhile. These are my favorite hotels.
Stayed at this hotel 2 nights, the reservations were not correct and had us only staying 1 night so the person at the desk had to find a room we could stay at for the 2 nights and of course it was not cleaned so we had to wait about an hour. Went to lunch and when we came back the room was finally ready.
My first impressions while we were waiting to find a room for 2 nights were that the front desk clerk was courteous; however, the only language spoken between cleaning people, wait staff, kitchen staff, etc. was Spanish. I am Hispanic and we believe that this gives a bad impression and it is impolite to speak another language when others do not understand what you are saying especially if that is all you hear in a business and there were many Spanish conversations in the time we were waiting. Just a courtesy
Other impressions are that the furniture in the lobby is dated; however clean, there are spots on the carpets in the hallway and a spot on the bedspread in our room. Bedspreads etc. are old but washed. The rooms are the same as everywhere else dated but clean. The ice maker in our room did not make ice so we had to go buy a bag of ice.
Just not up to the expectations of a Homewood Suite and a Hilton Hotel.
